Mrs. Iti Johri

Mrs. Iti Johri is a practising advocate and she works mainly with respect to matrimonial cases, consumer protection and intellectual property. She holds a Master’s degree in Constitutional Law and is also the founder of an affordable online education platform for law students, who want to hone their skills due to unavailability of quality education or financial constraints and who wish to prepare for judicial exams. She has been passionate about protection of women and children’s rights and has been involved with social work since her college days. She was a volunteer for the Human Rights Cell of her law college, wherein she participated in legal camps. She is often engaged in conducting workshops for Police Officials, students, and entrepreneurs, for laws relating to women and also intellectual property.

Mr. Ratan Kumar Srivastava

Mr. Ratan Kumar Srivastava, the President of the Foundation, is a retired officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS), who has been decorated with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service by the President of India. He has served in the Police Force for over 32 years, and holds a master’s degree in law. His vision for establishing this Foundation was driven by his experience with victims of women-related crimes, throughout the tenure of his service. He has always been passionate about women centric issues and even during the years of his service, he has actively remained involved in setting up and functioning of cells and bodies that worked towards helping victims of marital or domestic violence and sexual harassment and abuse, in the cities and towns in which he was posted. As a law enforcement officer he also worked towards creating awareness and sensitisation of police personnel, who worked under him, towards women-related offences and how to treat and help the victims of these offences.He has got experience of counselling of almost 1500 cases of matrimonial and personal disputes of husband and wife.  After retiring from the police service, he conceptualised this Foundation with the firm resolve of utilising his experience and academic knowledge of law in spreading general awareness about the existing women-centric laws and legal rights and recourses available to women in India and in extending help and assistance to women who are victims of any form of harassment or abuse and to ensure that they get justice.

Mr. Rakesh Chandra Srivastava

Mr. Rakesh Chandra Srivastava is an advocate having more than 25 years of professional experience. He has acquired extensive knowledge and practical proficiency over the years in matters related to domestic and matrimonial disputes and sufferings of the womenkind. He has worked at the very grass-root level and has seen the struggles of women in both rural as well as urban backdrop. As a member of the Foundation, he utilises this hands-on knowledge and understanding of women related issues to increase awareness amongst women by imparting them information related to their legal rights and remedies available to them.

Dr. Vinita Srivastava

Dr. Vinita Srivastava, who holds a doctorate in Chemistry, sets an example of an empowered women by striving to balance between her professional and personal responsibilities. Having knowledge and experience of the hardships faced by women in the various fronts of life, she presents the insight and expertise required to address issues faced by women in their households and workplaces, helping achieve the aims of the Foundation in a better manner. In her free time, she takes up social work and activities aimed towards educating women and children from the backward section of the society and working towards upliftment and betterment of the women and society in general.

Mr. Anil Sindoor

Mr. Anil Sindoor is a journalist by profession, having wide experience of more than 36 years in the field of print media. He has worked actively in the field of reporting crimes against women in both urban as well as rural areas of Uttar Pradesh through various news portals, including prominent newspapers like Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar and Navbharat Times. As a correspondent, he has focused primarily on drawing attention of the government authorities towards corruption within government machinery, atrocities or harassment faced by the female victims of crimes and in ensuring that the perpetrators of such offences do not evade from the action of the law enforcement machinery. He is also a social activist and RTI activist and has used the power of his reporting in ensuring that benefits of government projects reach individuals at the grass root level. He has also worked towards spreading awareness about social hardships faced by women over the ages, and about the remedies available for upliftment of women in the society. He has enacted in various short films and dramas on socially relevant issues and cleanliness drives. He actively uses various social media platforms, to bring to the knowledge of the world at large, the incidents of crimes against women and to propagate consciousness and sensitisation towards women who are victims of harassment or abuse.
